At Fifth Leaf, we care and are excited about our Pickleball, Racquetball, and Golf sports. Stringing Racquets started our business, and we have grown to sell Pickleball paddles, Racquetball racquets, accessories for both, and enhance and repair Golf clubs. We are the leader in stringing Racquetball racquets and are a dealer for Gearbox paddles and racquets. Known for our exceptional stringing quality, we string all types of racquets in a day or less. Diandian (seen here) protects your products when we are working on them.
Fifth Leaf began selling and servicing pickleball paddles in 2019. As a small business, we exclusively offer Gearbox pickleball paddles. While you may not be familiar with Gearbox paddles, they are recognized as a leader in innovation and high-quality paddles.
Pickleball is a sport that the entire family can enjoy and is growing faster than tennis, racquetball, and squash combined. It's not only fun to play but also requires focus to excel, provides a moderate workout, and is gentler on your body than many other sports.
When you first start playing pickleball, you typically buy less expensive equipment, such as a basic paddle, since you're unsure if you'll enjoy the sport or know exactly what you need. As you become more invested and decide you enjoy playing pickleball, you’ll want to improve your skills.
As your game improves, you may find that you need better quality equipment. Depending on your level of play, you might require a paddle that costs anywhere from $50 to $300 or something in between.
Below are most of the products we stock for pickleball. We only carry the best Gearbox pickleball paddles because many are selling cheap or inexpensive paddles, and we want you to have the best experience possible.
We stock only top-quality paddles and accessories. The best paddles perform better, win more games, last longer, and boost your confidence on the court.
We understand that most people don't have unlimited funds to spend on paddles and try them out. That's why we have a demo program featuring at least five different pickleball demo paddles. If you live in the Boise Valley in Idaho, we will let you use one or more of our pickleball paddles for a period of time at no cost to you, helping you find the perfect paddle that suits your needs.
At Fifth Leaf, we are committed to providing the best and fastest racquet stringing you will ever need, whether for tennis, racquetball, squash, badminton, or even paddle and pickleball. We started stringing racquets around 1990 because the stringers in our area couldn't string racquetball racquets correctly. Every racquetball racquet manufacturer has a different string pattern for their racquets, and sometimes a racquet can have two different string patterns. Tennis racquets are very much alike, with the main difference being the frames rather than the string pattern. Therefore, tennis stringers usually get lost when trying to string a racquetball racquet. We are stringing experts for Tennis, Racquetball, Squash, Badminton, Paddle, and Pickleball racquets.
At Fifth Leaf, Racquetball is more than a sport; it's a passion that I've pursued for over 45 years. During this time, I've experimented with many racquets, and there are few left to try. In my opinion, the Gearbox is the best racquet you can use, offering the best feeling and durability with its solid frame. While I love racquetball, I've also enjoyed playing paddle sports like pickleball, which provide a different yet equally exciting experience.
There are four essential items you need to play Racquetball. First, having a Racquet and a ball is crucial for the game. Second, safety is key, so a great pair of eyewear that doesn’t fog up and will protect your eyes is necessary. Third, good grips and gloves are important to prevent your racquet from turning in your hand when you hit the ball. Fourth, while you may not 'need' it, having a bag to transport your racquet, balls, eyewear, gloves, snacks, a drink to stay hydrated, and extra clothes and court shoes is highly recommended.
It would be ideal if the Racquet, bag, eyewear, and gloves are of high quality to ensure longevity. After trying out various Racquets, bags, eyewear, and gloves, I can confidently recommend Gearbox products. They offer the highest quality, great durability, and excellent value—much like the reliable paddles and gear you’d expect for playing pickleball.
We know we have the right Racquetball Racquet for your game, but which one feels the best for you? We also offer options for those interested in paddle sports, like pickleball. We have Gearbox Demo Racquets available for everyone in the Boise Valley to try before they buy at no cost to you.

Fifth Leaf Golf Club Repair is here to provide you with top-quality repair and club adjustments for your golf equipment. Just as we ensure precision in our work, our Loft and Lie machine is accurate to a quarter of a degree, ensuring your clubs perform at their best—similar to how a well-crafted paddle enhances your pickleball game.

We use the new MOI balancing technique to balance your golf clubs, similar to how a paddle is balanced for optimal performance in pickleball. Or would you prefer to stick with the same old pivot balancing that has been used for over a hundred years, which everyone else relies on?

Fifth Leaf provides fast and efficient golf repair, services, and adjustments for all golf clubs and paddles. We use the latest technology and techniques to fix any issue you have with our golf club(s) or pickleball equipment.
Many Golf Shops and Golf Course shops often neglect quality adjustments because they lack the time, necessary quality machines, or the experience to perform them effectively. Have you ever noticed that when you swing your club, the Golf ball can veer off track by 15 to 30 degrees, even when you feel you hit it perfectly? If you're new to Golf, it might be due to needing more practice. However, it could also indicate that your Golf shaft is misaligned. Some Golf Shops and typically the Pro at the Golf Course understand the importance of aligning golf shafts so they bend correctly during your swing. While they may recognize that the Golf shaft needs to be aligned, they might not have the right machines to properly align each of your Golf Clubs. Just like in pickleball, where having the right paddle can make all the difference, having well-aligned golf shafts can significantly improve your game.
Golf maintenance services or adjustments you need are often partially handled at local Golf Shops in the Valley. While most may not have a Loft & Lie machine, if they do, it often lacks the precision to make a quarter-degree change in the Golf head of your clubs. Additionally, do they have the expertise to shaft align your shafts or MOI balance your clubs? Just like in paddle and pickleball, having the right equipment and adjustments can significantly enhance your game.
The way most Golf Shops balance your Golf Club, if they can do it, is to use a pivot balance machine that has been used for at least a hundred years. Wake up, it is 2024.
The old golf club balance scale measures the swing weight of a golf club, which is the club's balance point displayed on a scale. The swing weight of a club is measured on a 14-inch fulcrum that assesses the balance point of a club. This old system uses the terms balance and swing weight interchangeably. Are you confused yet? A sliding weight is used to find the amount of weight required to balance out the part of the club that hangs over the scale. The swing weight scale indicates what the swing weight of that club is and the range of weight the club needs to be to be "balanced." The swing weight of the club is what this scale also calls the balance point and doesn't tell you the weight of a club.
Sounds good to you? Not to us. Using this scale you can add weight to the grip part of a shaft and according to the scale the club is now lighter. No, it isn't. The club is heavier and the scale says it is lighter. Adding weight to the head will make it heavier on the scale and also the actual club weight. Don't you want all your Golf Clubs to swing the same? Just like in paddle sports, where balance is key, ensuring your golf clubs are accurately balanced is essential for optimal performance. Whether you're playing golf or enjoying a game of pickleball, understanding the balance of your equipment can significantly affect your game.
The best way to balance your golf club is to use a MOI machine. MOI stands for Moment of Inertia, a term in physics that refers to the energy required to move or stop something. In golf, that something is your golf club. It takes a specific amount of energy to swing your golf club, and this energy can be accurately measured using a golf MOI machine, similar to how a paddle is balanced in pickleball for optimal performance.
Every golfer has at least one club in their bag that they can swing well almost every time they use it. When we MOI balance your clubs, we take that one club and measure it on our machine to obtain the preferred MOI reading.
With that MOI measurement, we then adjust all your clubs to match that specific MOI reading. This represents the true swing weight every golf club should have, and it’s a standard that every golf club maker and repair shop should utilize. By matching the MOI measurement across all clubs, it ensures that the same amount of energy is required to swing each club, leading to more consistent ball striking.
The traditional scale measurement does not assess the MOI of a club; instead, it measures the weight of the club at the 14-inch fulcrum point. Ask yourself: would you prefer to balance your club at the 14-inch fulcrum point, or balance the entire club? We believe you would want to match the swing weight of the entire club with all your other clubs, rather than just a point on a club.
We could make golf clubs to fit your swing, but as a small golf shop, we cannot afford to purchase a Golf Simulator that can record the measurements needed to customize your clubs. Instead, we recommend visiting a Golf Shop where they can take the measurements for you. They will let you try out different golf shafts and golf heads to find the one you like best. Afterward, they will order the clubs for you and assure you that they will customize them to your swing and ability. However, keep in mind that their customization might not include aligning the shafts or ensuring all your clubs are MOI-balanced. Once you have played with them for a few rounds and know which club or clubs you hit the best, feel free to contact us to make the final customization adjustments for you. And while you're at it, if you're also interested in paddle sports, consider how a pickup game of pickleball can complement your golfing skills!

Unfortunately, we are a small golf shop and we do not have the resources to purchase and display golf clubs, balls, and other golf items. However, we do stock several different golf grips to provide fast golf club regripping services. Additionally, we can customize and repair your club(s) faster than others, much like how a paddle is essential for a great game of pickleball.
There are several Golf Shops and many Golf Course Pro shops that have a good supply of Golf Clubs, accessories, shoes, and clothing, as well as equipment for paddle and pickleball enthusiasts. Our main focus, and what we do best, is to provide Club Repair and Adjustments to truly customize your golf clubs, which cannot be matched in the Boise Valley.
